Project Description

Smithville Mansion is a well-preserved historic complex listed on the state and National Register of Historic Places. The mansion is one of Smithville’s most unfailing signs and testaments of the extraordinary work of H.B. Smith. Also, historic Smithville Park sits at the heart of the Burlington County Parks System.

MPG’s work included structural rebuilding, brick replacement and repointing. In addition to masonry restoration, the project included several other specialty trades. As single prime General Contractor, MPG engaged its team of qualified subcontractors for work including glazing, painting, ornamental metal work, stucco restoration, roofing, wood window restoration and carpentry.

The Smithville Mansion Complex project won the 1998 International Masonry Institute Award for Best Restoration Project.
